She made a momentous return to the spotlight after a lengthy hiatus which saw her give birth to her three-year-old son Angelo in October 2012.
Yet Adele has candidly revealed her comeback has been far from seam-free as she admits she struggles to juggle motherhood and the latest chapter in her record-breaking career.
The 27-year-old hitmaker looked sensational as she posed on the front of Time magazine before laying herself bare in the accompanying interview.
Adele, who shares Angelo with partner-of-four-years Simon Konecki, flaunted her flawless features in the elegant shoot, the cover of which she shared on her Instagram.
Wearing a bright red coat for the shot, she glanced over her shoulder and pouted at the camera with her puckered pout where her crimson lipstick matched her dress.
Her lustrous blonde locks were scraped into a loose-fitting yet styled chignon where loose tendrils framed her face.
Adele, who is renowned for being fiercely private, opened up in the accompanying interview for the esteemed publication about the difficulties of being a working mum.
‘The other day I was saying, “Oh God, I’m finding this really hard again with a kid.” I have no time for myself because in between doing this, all my spare time is with him. But then I realized, he’s been keeping me totally cool and calm about the whole thing.’
‘He makes me so proud of myself, and he makes me like myself so much. And I’ve always liked myself. I’ve never not liked myself. I don’t have hangups like that. But I’m so proud of myself that I made him in my belly. Cooked him in my belly and then he came out of me!
‘This human who’s suddenly walking around and doing his own thing. I can’t wait to know who his best friends are going to be, who his girlfriend or his boyfriend is going to be or what movies he likes… Whatever my kid wants to do or be I will always support him no matter what.’
