Africa’s Richest Man, Aliko Dangote Joins Twitter…Snubs Top Nigerians & Follows Top Foreigners

DANGOTE-finalThe richest man in Africa, Aliko Dangote, started his new year by joining Twitter on January 1st. The billionaire gained over 6000 follower an after after he joined with his current follower-ship swelling to 36,151 just 4 days after joining.

When the news broke that Dangote had joined the micro-blogging site, a lot of Nigerians followed him immediately…including top Nigerian celebs like: Mallam Nuhu Ribadu (former Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission) ; Bukola Saraki (former Governor of Kwara State); Tony Elumelu (Chief Executive Officer of the United Bank for Africa); Gumsu Abacha (daughter of late military dictator, Sanni Abacha); Fola Adeola (Vice-Presidential candidate of the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria in the 2011 general elections); Actor/Comedian Nkem Owoh; Dare Art Alade, Monalisa ChindaDr. Sid, Banky WRuggedman, Sasha PWeird MC and M.I, among many others.

But the billionaire has snubbed them all, choosing to follow only 7 of  his top foreign associates and business partners for now. See the list of  people/organizations Dangote is following hopefully for now…
