Arsenal star Theo Walcott has been ruled out of his side’s upcoming games against Crystal Palace and Bournemouth, failing to recover from a calf strain he sustained in the warm-up against West Bromwich Albion, according to reports from 90min.
The 27-year-old has been in fine form this season, scoring 11 goals in 18 starts as well as providing two assists.
One of those goals was the opener against Manchester City on December 18th, only for Pep Guardiola’s side to strike twice in the second-half to steal all three points.
Walcott’s absence against West Brom saw top goalscorer Alexis Sanchez switch over to the left, with Frenchman Olivier Giroud coming back into the starting line-up.
Giroud eventually scored the winner for Arsene Wenger’s side, meaning he could well be picked to start again on Sunday against Palace.
