Controversial Lawyer, Emeka Ugwuonye Struck Off The Roll Of Legal Practitioners In Nigeria

EMEKA UGWUONYE-2-600x800The founder of Due Process Advocates, Barr. Emeka Ugwuonye has been struck of the roll of legal practitioners in Nigeria.

In a document issued today by the Supreme Court of Nigeria through the office of the Chief Registrar, Ugwuonye was found guilty of infamous conduct in the course of the performance of his duty as a legal practitioner.emeka ugwuonye-struck off letter emeka ugwuonye-struck off letter-2emeka ugwuonye-struck off letter-3The notorious lawyer who has quite a large following on Facebook and his fondly called, “Digital Daddy”, a.k.a. DD by his fans has in recent times received some vicious backlash from people who claim they can see him for who he is…a fraud.

One Facebook user who gloated at Ugwuonye’s misfortune believes it is the ghosts of Charity ‘Chacha’ Aiyedogbon and Stella Ogechi Njoku that have come back to haunt. Aiyedogbon was an Abuja-based business woman who went missing. Ugwuonye sensationalized the case so much that he used it to gain more popularity on social media, than he did with helpful investigation that could solve the mystery of her disappearance.emeka ugwuonye-struck off letter-4 While Njoku was also an Abuja-based business woman and public speaker who was living with HIV. Again, Ugwuonye over-sensationalized her story and later fell out with some bloggers over the rights to the story.

I intend to bring you Ugwuonye’s reaction to the Supreme Court’s latest decision.
