This is the photograph that led to a French teacher being accused of having drunken sex with a schoolboy on prom night.
Isabelle Graham, 28, who insists she is a devout Christian who had been saving herself for her wedding night, says: ‘I’m the victim’ and claims her drink was spiked.
The photograph taken in an Edinburgh Travelodge shows a blonde woman, alleged to be Graham, lying under the duvet.
In the background is a young man clutching a bottle of wine and is believed to be the schoolboy named only as Pupil A – the boy she is accused of sleeping with.
Graham, who has already left Whitburn Academy in West Lothian, but faces being barred from the profession if she loses her fight against the allegations.
Married teacher Isabelle Graham, 28 (pictured with her husband Andrew on their wedding day), insisted she was a practising Christian and had been saving herself for her wedding night but was allegedly found in bed with a 17-year-old pupil at a Travelodge in Edinburgh after prom.
Mrs Graham, who declined to attend the disciplinary hearing, has provided a statement to be read in her defence at the hearing. In it, she claimed that she had been the ‘victim’ on the night.
She said that if the photo taken on the night did feature her, she was clearly unconscious and therefore it was ‘posed’ without her consent.
She went on: ‘The person in the bed in the photo is clearly not in control of the situation.’
The General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS), which will decide her future, was told the case came to light after a photograph taken by the returning student was posted online.
