Dimitri Payet is a special, special footballer.
West Ham did remarkably well to retain the France international’s services after his eye-catching performances at Euro 2016 – but retain them they did, and now the Hammers are reaping the benefits.
Payet was in majestic form at the London Stadium against Watford on Saturday afternoon, setting up two goals for Michail Antonio, one of which is a contender for assist of the season, as reported by GiveMeSport.
Payet left his marker with twisted blood before crossing to the far post with an exquisite rabona.
For this unfamiliar with that term, it means crossing with one leg wrapped around the other. Don’t try it at home, unless you want to end up flat on your face.
Payet’s rabona cross left Antonio with the simplest of finishes inside the six-yard box.
