Euro 2016: England Vs Wales Match Analysis

VAR-STUVictory for the Three Lions!!! Today’s Group B clash of the Euro 2016 saw England go head-to-head with Wales. Roy Hodgson selected a squad similar to the one that started against Russia. Even though they had majority of possession like in the last game, they didnt cause much trouble for Welsh goalkeeper, Wayne Hennessy. Gareth Bale opened the scoring for Wales with a spectacular long range free kick in the 42nd minute.

England went into the dressing room booed by the Welsh fans. I have no idea what transpired in the dressing room, but England started the second half like lions. Roy Hodgson went for broke as all three substitutes where center-forwards. Introducing Jamie Vardy, Daniel Sturridge and Marcus Rashford. Vardy drew England level near the hour mark when Wales captain Ashley Williams headed the ball towards his goal.

Daniel Sturridge picked up a ball from Danny Rose and played a one-two with Vardy, the ball came off Dele Alli and Sturridge lashed home from close range, in a tight situation to steal the victory for England!! Thats Bravery on the part of Hodgson. Team England!!!
