A South African Court has sentenced the leader of the Movement of the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, Henry Okah, to 24 years in prison.
Mr. Okah was found guilty of masterminding the October 1, 2010 bomb blast in Abuja, the Nigerian capital. His family said they will appeal the judgement.

You’ll recall that a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on January 25, 2013 also found guilty, Edmond Ebiwere (pictured below), one of the four persons said to be an accomplice to Henry Okah in the October 1, 2010 bomb attack in Abuja. The court found Ebiwere guilty of terrorism charges and sentenced him to life imprisonment.
