Jack Wilshere Destroyed On Twitter For Embarrassing Dele Alli Comparison Stat

It’s been a tough couple of weeks for Arsenal. They have allowed a seven-point lead on North London rivals Tottenham to slip entirely, now trailing the Lilywhites by a point after their 2-0 win over Chelsea, 90min reports.

They found themselves 3-0 down to Bournemouth after seventy minutes, requiring a hurried comeback to save the game, and Alexis Sanchez was repeatedly spotted making furious gestures amid questions over a new contract.

Now, one-time golden boy Jack Wilshere (currently on loan at Bournemouth) has been ripped on Twitter for a horribly embarrassing comparison between himself and one of Tottenham’s own new kid on the block Dele Alli.

Arsenal and Spurs fans naturally like to pit their players’ stats against one another, but this is a battle which the Gunners simply cannot win.

Wilshere has yet to score for his loan club Bournemouth in his fifteen appearances this season, while Alli has netted a very impressive ten times.

It’s much worse than that for Jack though – it has only taken Alli seventeen days to score as many Premier League goals as Wilshere has in his whole career!

Admittedly Alli plays in a much more advanced position than Wilshere and hasn’t suffered with the same injuries but still…

If only the England midfielder had been eligible to play against his parent club, he might have tucked into a goal or two when they were outplaying Arsenal for an hour on Tuesday. Or not.
