And Jennifer Hudson opens up about her costars for the November issue of Cosmopolitan as well as some of the actors as she most admires in the industry.
The Sex and the City star was asked who her dream co-star would be and the 36-year-old star chose fellow Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence.Hudson also dished on her former costars who she was asked to describe in one word.
Of her Dreamgirls costar Beyonce, Hudson used the word ‘sisterly’ and of her Sex and the City costar Sarah Jessica Parker, the songstress replied ‘genuine’.
She also had kind words for her Sandy Wexler costar Adam Sandler, who she called ‘funny’ and described her Empire costar Taraji P. Henson as her ‘homegirl’.
Hudson also revealed which of her fellow The Voice coaches she’d pick if she was a contestant on the show, choosing Blake because ‘we have the most similar taste in music.’ Hudson with fellow ‘The Voice’ coaches
Cosmo also asked the Spotlight hitmaker which show she’d love to guest-star and revealed she would love to make an appearance on HBO’s Insecure with Issa Rae.
Hudson received a supporting actress Academy Award for her role in Dreamgirls in 2007.
Recalling what went through her head as her name was called out on the big night, Hudson told the magazine: ‘Sit down, Jennifer, no one heard that but you.’
