Oby Ezekwesili Shares Throwback Photos Of Herself To Celebrate 53rd Birthday

OBY EZEKWESILI-CV-660x330Obiageli Ezekwesili was born on April 28, 1963. She turns 53 today.

Mrs. Ezekwesili is a Nigerian chartered accountant. She was a co-founder of Transparency International, serving as one of the pioneer directors of the global anti-corruption body based in Berlin, Germany. She served as Federal Minister of Solid Minerals and then as Federal Minister of Education during the second-term presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo. Since then, she served as the Vice-President of the World Bank’s Africa division from May 2007 to May 2012.

She is most notably known as the pioneer of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) movement, founded to campaign for the release of over 170 school girls kidnapped by terrorist group Boko Haram.

To mark her 53rd birthday today, Ezekwesili shared throwback photos of herself in her 20s taken during the baptism of her youngest son. She says she’s thankful for how far God has brought her.
