Real Madrid Remove Two Players’ Shirts From Club Shop Amidst Transfer Rumours

Nacho is seemingly on his way out of the club

There has been plenty of speculation about the future of James Rodriguez, Nacho and Alvaro Morata who  could still be sold despite only recently returning to the Bernabeu, while as ever there’s some speculation around Cristiano Ronaldo and a potential move to Paris Saint-Germain.

However, while those rumours are confined to the pages of a newspaper or online, it seems Real Madrid have been perpetuating transfer rumours all by themselves without the help of the media, GiveMeSport reports.

Why is that? Well, Madrid-based newspaper AS noticed that while you could buy a Real Madrid jersey bearing the name of every single player after their new shirt launch on July 14, two had been removed from the shop altogether.

The shirts, arranged in numeric order, belonging to Spanish striker Jese Rodriguez and defender Nacho were missing, prompting speculation that both are set to be sold.

Nacho has been linked with a move away from Madrid for some time now and the latest batch of reports say that he is close to joining Roma in a deal worth €11 million.

The surprise here is Jese, who was tipped to be Spanish football’s next big thing up front and star for his country at the 2014 World Cup before injury struck him down.

Competition for starting spots at Real Madrid is as tough as ever, and Jese managed just seven starts in the league and five goals in 2015/16.

The return of Morata following his wildly successful season at Juventus means he could play even less – presuming that Real opt against selling Morata on straight away.
