An evangelical church named “White Tail Chapel” has hit the headlines for very controversial reasons following the official declaration by the leadership of the church that members could worship nude. The church is based in Virginia, USA.
When the law was first made in 2014, it was optional. But quite recently in a dramatic twist, the church head pastor made the nudity doctrine very mandatory for all worshippers in the church.
The church head pastor, Allen Parker instructed all the members to cast off all their material attachments including their clothing when they come to the place of worship. He encouraged members to come to worship in nudity – the way they were created by God.
He defended the decision with the claim that Jesus experienced the most important moments of his life when he was naked. Parker even wed a couple, Katie and Robert unclad in the church.
“When Jesus was born he was naked, when he was crucified he was naked and when he arose he left his clothes in the tomb and he was naked. If God made us that way, how can that be wrong?”
“I consider this a gift and a privilege God has given me as our members are caring, understanding and they’re community and family oriented. We have one of the most involved chapels any place around. I’ll put our church up against others around.”
