Toke Makinwa & Hubby Maje Ayida Celebrate Their Paper Wedding Anniversary

toke-maje-anniversary-xIs it one year already? How time flies! Their wedding was the most anticipated wedding of 2014 in my opinion.

Toke Makinwa and Maje Ayida had been dating for over 10 years. Onlookers had started complaining about the prolonged courtship and urging Maje to do the right thing by putting a ring on Toke’s finger, but it seemed the guy was having cold feet.

At some point, I got really peeved about it (like say na my busines…lol) and wrote a strongly worded deevanalysis to Maje. Because it would have been a disaster if they didn’t tie the knot. World people would have had his girlfriend for breakfast, lunch and dinner without caring how the poor girl was feeling. Finally it happened.

Seeing them celebrate their first wedding anniversary today, really got me very emotional, it’s as if I went through the journey with both of them. Love is the most beautiful thing that God ever created, you can never fault it because it is perfect.

Maje’s message to his wife got me all teared up. I love it. He wrote:

“He found her most beautiful not when she was all fancied up, but when she wasn’t. When she was lying on the carpet, her hair all a mess, laughing about something that happened years ago.

When she wasn’t trying to impress anyone, and taken down that wall she built for most people. That’s when he couldn’t take his eyes off her’. Thank you @tokemakinwa for giving me light.”

Maje, I have two words for you: “Thank you”. Here’s wishing this lovely couple, the very best of love and marital bliss. A toast to your friendship.
