WHO WORE IT BETTER? Toke Makinwa & Susan Peters In Celeb Boutique’s ‘Mercy’ Blue Tribal Mesh Mid Sleeve Bandage Dress

WWIB-TOKE-SUSAN PETERSOkay, I’m trying to post all the fashion face-offs of the week just past…starting off with On-Air-Personality, Toke Makinwa and Nollywood actress, Susan Peters.

Toke wore hers first in June, 2013 to the Dream Weddings event in Lagos. She accessorized with azure blue sling back heels, long ombre brown wavy hair and bright red lipstick.

Susan rocked hers on Tuesday, 17th September 2013 to fellow actress, Kate Henshaw‘s book launch in Lagos. She accessorized with black T-strap heels, a 1930s vintage Hollywood wavy bob hairstyle and pink lipstick…(Love Susan’s hairstyle)

Okay, let’s talk about this dress…because it seems to be a hit with female celebs the world over. I spotted at least three other celebrities rocking this dress apart from Toke and Susan featured above.

Personally, I don’t like wearing clothes which seems to be everywhere…or what Naija babes call ‘common’…but I LOVE this dress…’common’ or not…and wouldn’t mind rocking this dress, myself.

The ‘Mercy’ Blue Tribal Mesh Mid Sleeve Bandage Dress cost £130 and is designed by CelebBoutique. This is how their website describes this beautiful dress:

“The uber flattering tribal design, electric blue colour and mesh around the bust & arms creates a statement piece. Made from our luxury bandage fabric that holds you in & smooths you out. Wear with killer heels for a celeb worthy look.”

I really love the fact that this dress “holds you in & smooths you out.” Perhaps, that’s why it’s such a hit.

These two Naija chicks look stunning in the dress and I shall soon leave you to decide who wore it better. The only thing I have against their look are THEIR SHOES. Their shoes DID NOT bring out the best in this dress. The dress designer even stressed that it must be worn with “killer heels for a celeb worthy look.” But none of the celebs I saw; including Lil Kim and Christina Milian (featured below); wore shoes that killed the dress…in fact the two American ladies did more poorly than their Naija counterparts.

I’ve taken the liberty to feature 3 of my best picks for shoes that would have brought out the best in this dress. My brand of choice is Giuseppe Zanotti.

So Pweebers, who wore the ‘Mercy’ Blue Tribal Mesh Mid Sleeve Bandage Dress better? Toke or Susan? Vote now!

See the full photos of the ‘contestants’…to judge better…as well as Deeva’s best 3 picks for killer heels for the dress…
